Spooner– Deer hunters, most concerned about the lack of deer numbers in Washburn and Burnett counties in recent years, filled the meeting room at Spooner High School for the Public Deer Forum on Monday night, March 26, and then just kept coming.

It was standing room only as Department of Natural Resources biologist Nancy Christel addressed the crowd, who made it very clear there was a high level of frustration with the quality of the deer hunt locally.
